About the Family

Happy Nest is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a warm and welcoming family in beautiful Nether Alderley. Their long term nanny speaks very highly of the family and the role, making this a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate.

The family are busy professionals with four boys, aged 20 (away at university), 15, 14, and 8. The older children are increasingly independent, but the family still require hands-on support, particularly with the youngest. The children enjoy sports, the gym, and generally lead an active lifestyle.

The family also have a friendly dog, so an animal lover is essential.

The Role

The Nanny Housekeeper will be responsible for:

  • Morning routine: breakfast, school runs, and ensuring the boys are ready for their day.
  • School collections, supporting with homework, and supervising after-school activities.
  • Meal preparation for the family (they often use Gusto for recipes and ingredients).
  • Childrens laundry and ironing.
  • General housekeeping and maintaining an organised, welcoming home.
  • Food shopping (online and in person when required).
  • Pet care for the family dog.
  • Opportunity to travel with the family but not an essential requirement.

The family employ a regular cleaner, so the focus will be on family support and keeping everything running smoothly day to day.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • A confident driver with a clean licence.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willing to obtain).
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to balance childcare and household duties.
  • A warm, proactive, and reliable approach.
