We are looking for a Senior Acquisition Manager to oversee the acquisition of global rights for our digital network. We Realise Potential in Your Story Based in the heart of Shoreditch, we are an award-winning digital content studio and media network who are currently on a quest to find a Senior Acquisitions Manager to join our Acquisition Team. As the Senior Acquisition Manager, you will oversee the acquisition of global rights for our digital network, which encompasses over 80 social media channels and 8 Fast channels across multiple genres and digital platforms, as well as our subscription video on demand (SVOD) platform, History Hit. Your role will involve ensuring alignment with editorial guidelines and financial benchmarks. HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME Acquire global rights for the Little Dot Studios owned and operated network of channels, in line with editorial guidelines and financial benchmarks. Source, select and negotiate content partnerships and commercial terms, liaising with the legal teams on all licensing agreements. Work strategically with the Director of Content Acquisitions & Partnerships to source new clients and set the acquisition strategy across the network. Maintain client relationships, ensure constant communication and report to clients on content performance. Work closely with the network channels teams on the content pipeline needs to include regular meetings and presentations of new content. Work closely with the finance teams to ensure financial information in and out of the building is correct and approved. Analyse rights information, current trends, competitor analysis, and market intelligence to play a key role in providing insight into the team to aid content strategies. Work with the Acquisition Team to ensure a smooth running of the department, including coordination of information between the acquisition department and other departments within Little Dot Studios. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED Acquisitions (or sales) experience in a TV distribution or broadcast/digital channels, which includes experience working with both creative and commercial contacts at different levels. Understanding of digital platforms and their corresponding rights, and subsequently, the ability to pick up new systems quickly. The ideal Senior Acquisitions Manager will show a priority for organisation, consistency, and confidence – especially when working or communicating with multiple departments, including during briefings and presentations. Understanding of linear and non-linear rights within the media landscape. Experience working across rights management systems and attending international trade markets.
