What Are We Looking For?
Our Electrical Trades team is looking for a Senior Supervisor to join the Operations & Maintenance team in Cumbernauld on a full time, permanent basis. You will be involved in supervising operatives and apprentices on various projects and liaising with the allocated Site/Workshop Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
- Where required manage toolbox talks, permits, review RAMS
- In the absence of a Site Manager, liaise on a day to day basis with other contractors engaged on site
- Measure up for materials, respond to emergencies and changes in the work programme, acquiring essential plant and equipment
- Obtain and record data for Health & Safety stats (near miss/lost time etc) and complete and deliver any required QA documentation
- Identify any potential additional and future work while on site and pass on to the Project Engineer/Manager
- Monitor apprentices to ensure tasks completed are delivered to the required quality of workmanship
What Do You Need?
- Time served fully qualified in a relevant Electrical trade – City & Guilds, MA or equivalent.
- Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations
- Proven track record in a supervisory role.
- Good knowledge of Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety processes/procedures.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, lead, and motivate teams of apprentices and operatives under your supervision.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
