Primary School Teaching Assistant

We are currently looking for Teaching Assistants to work at schools.

Are you an experienced teaching assistant, higher learning teaching assistant, or a learning support assistant?

Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Supporting the teacher with the delivery of the lesson
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons, such as setting up equipment
  • Managing behaviour and engaging students with their own learning
  • Working with students either one to one or in small groups out of the classroom
  • Committed to supporting both the teacher and the students to succeed

Requirements for applicants:

  • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Supporting Teaching and Learning) or at least 1 year of work experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting (recent references required)
  • Confident communication skills and ability to motivate students (1-2-1 or small group support)
  • A current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS (cost applies)
