We are currently working with a “Good” primary school located in Orpington who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant who has a passion for working with children.

This school is currently seeking an inspirational and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full time long-term position to start ASAP which could progress to a permanent position in the future.

The ideal candidate would be someone with a positive nature and a sense of humour with experience working with SEN students within the education sector.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team which provides children with appropriate opportunities to make outstanding progress in every aspect of their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a safe, organised and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, independence and celebrates pupils’ achievements.

To adhere to all school Safeguarding policies and procedure and maintain high standards of safety and observe good practice in relation to health and safety issues.

To be aware of and implement students’ care plans and to assist the students’ in their learning and development.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree or Teaching Assistant qualification

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection

Experience working with SEN students within a classroom

Strong classroom skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication skills
