The predicted salary is between 24500 - 25000 £ per year.
Reporting to the Registration Manager (Seafarers) or in their absence, the Registrar or a Director as the case may be and following the Company Operational Manual and other directions as are needed from time to time, you will assist in processing applications for and issuing seafarers certification and documentation.
• To deal with seafarer applications coming in via our online database, or direct from customers.
• To check that the application is complete, to check that all supporting documents are valid and information has been entered correctly.
• To communicate with Maritime Registrars when an application is incomplete to correct the application
• To issue Seafarer Record Books & other documents required by seafarers & Maritime Registrars once checks have been completed/verified and to make ready for dispatch.
• To answer email enquiries quickly and efficiently.
• To verify seafarer documents by emailing worldwide government administrations without an online checking database.
• To take care of email correspondence and other duties in Seafarer Registration Managers absence.
• Additional duties as may be required by the Director from time to time.
Main Objectives: To ensure that applications are processed quickly and efficiently within specified time scales in line with company rules and enquiries are dealt with promptly.
Responsibilities: To reach agreed targets of application completion by ensuring data is checked, input and correct within the specified timescale. To chase verification of seafarer documents.
The person in this position is entitled to make suggestions about any changes to seafarer operational procedures in order to increase efficiency.
• Salary starts at £24,500 PA until completion of successful probationary period of 3 months and then rises to £25,000 PA.
• 23 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays.
• Bonus scheme available after completion of probationary period and a workplace pension scheme
