We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Project Officer to support the delivery of key projects within the Education Traded Services Team at Wakefield Council. This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in improving services and the traded offer to schools and academies in Wakefield and beyond.

Temporary for 12 months.

The successful candidate will work across a range of initiatives within Education Traded Services, providing high-quality project support and monitoring progress to enable successful delivery of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects in line with education priorities.
Engage with key stakeholders, including internal colleagues, partners and schools.
Contribute to evaluation and continuous improvement by gathering data, analysing performance, and capturing lessons learned.
Provide administrative and logistical support to the servcie working flexibly across multiple workstreams.

About You:

Experience working in a project or programme support role, ideally within a local authority or school/academy setting.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A team player who is also capable of working independently with initiative and problem-solving ability.
Previous knowledge of Education Traded Services or of working in Schools would be an advantage.
