Job Description:
A lovely Nursery that is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and Montessori pedagogy. The nursery staff are made up of a close supportive team, passionate about children\’s development and encourage self-development within the team. The nursery environment has been carefully developed to inspire and motivate children to be independent and curious learners. Their unique curriculum follows a child-centred approach which enables the development of the whole child as well as following their individual interests and encouraging them to become independent thinkers.
We are looking for a qualified Level 3 Practitioner to join our team at our nursery in Worthing. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and promoting children\’s early education and development, planning and providing effective care, teaching and learning that enables children to progress and prepare them for school, making accurate and productive use of assessment, developing effective and informed practice, safeguarding and promoting the health, safety and welfare of children, working in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- To implement and promote the policies and the Staff Rules to ensure the ethos, implementation and legal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage are met.
- To support children\’s development and their individual needs.
- To demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for childcare.
- To make accurate and productive use of assessment.
- To develop effective and informed practice.
- To safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children.
- To work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- At least 1 years of experience working in a nursery setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for working with children and providing high-quality care and education.
- All applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
Your new role
Your new role will be working as a Nursery Practitioner. The nursery is looking for qualified staff that would like to build their expertise, career and grow within the nursery. You will be assisting with the day to day running of the classes, supporting the students and using your initiative to help them succeed. The full-time hours are 40 hours a week, working between 8am and 6pm. The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year. The role is permanent and is an immediate start. However, they are open to discussing flexible working options with candidates, including part-time and full-time hours for this role.
