We are seeking to appoint an outstanding and talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant who would like to join a friendly, dynamic school where all can thrive and staff are highly valued.
This is an exciting career move for an experienced person to support the learning and progress of our wonderful pupils.
The role is specifically to join our successful Key Stage 1 Team as soon as possible. We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner who can provide first-class education for our pupils, class teaching cover for teachers’ PPA and one day a week cover for a part-time member of staff.
The ideal candidate should:
• Have a passion for teaching and learning across the range of primary subjects
• The ability to communicate to a wide range of pupils with different needs and abilities
• Be able to make learning fun and interactive
• Be able to facilitate children’s learning in both 1:1 and small groups
• Have experience of applying a range of strategies to support pupils in the classroom with the minimum of supervision
• Be able to plan and implement effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving
• Be able to share information and have professional communication with the class teacher
• When necessary, liaise with parents and outside agencies to support children
• Use initiative and knowledge to give the very best support to our children

We are a larger than average school with 470 pupils on roll and 66 members of staff with very low staff turnover, so it is especially exciting to have the opportunity to recruit a new member of staff to join the team.

Position 1 Hours of Work: 32 hours over Monday-Friday, term time only.
