What skills and experience we\’re looking for

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality of Education:

– Assist the teacher in preparing and organising classroom materials to enhance learning.

– Provide support to individual students and small groups with robust and rigorous pre-planned work and interventions.

– Utilize CPOMS for safeguarding and tracking student welfare.

2. Behaviour and Attitudes:

– Promote positive behaviour and attitudes within the classroom.

– Implement and uphold school behaviour policies and strategies.

– Encourage and support students to develop positive relationships and respect for others.

3. Personal Development:

– Support students\’ social and emotional development, encouraging positive interactions and self-confidence.

– Engage students in extracurricular activities and school events to enhance their overall development.

– Promote the well-being and personal development of all students, including those with additional needs.

4. Leadership and Management:

– Collaborate with class teachers to plan and deliver high-quality lessons and interventions.

– Participate in and contribute to school policies, initiatives, and professional development opportunities.

– Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing training and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.

– Experience working with children in an educational setting is advantageous.

– Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and staff.

– An understanding of child development and learning.

– Knowledge and adherence to safeguarding practices and the use of CPOMS.

Desirable Attributes:

– Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.

– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
