This is a rare opportunity to work as a specialist Autism Teaching Assistant at outstanding special needs school in Salford.

The basics:
– Autism Teaching Assistant at special needs high school in Salford for children with Complex Needs such as Autism, among others.
– Starting September 2025.
– Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:315am-3:15pm.
– Expected to go perm eventually for the right person.
– £90-110/day DOE – Paid PAYE, we don\’t use umbrella companies!
– Equal pay to perm staff from 13th week onwards of a placement.

– Refer-A-Friend – earn £100*

How you\’ll help:
– Provide 1:1 & small group support to a class of Year 9 pupils with Autism.
– You will need to adapt your approach to each individual\’s needs, levels and interests.
– Focus on pupil progress in academic, social, emotional, behavioural & physical areas.
– Use positive reinforcement & behaviour management techniques.
– Contribute to a safe, fun & inclusive classroom environment.
– Work with the class teacher, SENCO, SLT, parents and outside professionals.
– Report on behaviours, incidents and disclosures to the DSL.

– Previous experience supporting children with SEND.
– A proactive, empathetic, reliable and hard-working approach is a must!
