Here at London Cycle hire, we have an exciting opportunity as we are looking to recruit for a Asset and Inventory Operative.
This role will report to the Stores and Purchasing Manager. Predominately the successful candidate will work within the Stores function for the BMS contract by managing assets within the battery room, transporting batteries to Operatives On Street and between depots as well as support in day-to-day stores functions such as stock replenishment, stock taking and warranty processes. The Stores function is essential in receiving all deliveries and ensuring both Penton Street and Clapham depots have clean, safe and tidy stores areas.
The candidate will be required to work from both depots.
Tasks

– Support goods in and out procedure, receiving and issuing stock using the warehouse asset management system (Maximo) or manual systems where required.
– Assist the Stores Manager in compiling processes relating to logistics activities.
– Manage part tracking through Asset Management software.
– Manage the receipting, issuing, storage, transfer and movement of Bicycle parts for two Public Bicycles models, providing clear delineation of parts for mechanics and enabling maximum efficiency of Mechanics.
– Coordinate and receive deliveries ensuring all consignments are checked for accuracy in content, quantity, quality and packaging, raising any discrepancies to the Stores and Procurement manager and entering discrepancy data into the discrepancy register.
– Return to supplier’s warranty items subject to repair and dispose of obsolete stock.
– Fulfil requests for spares, uniform and PPE, following receipt of a suitably authorised requisition, in a timely manner and ensuring the transactions are recorded accurately on the warehouse management system (Maximo) or manual accounts as required.
– Maintain stock levels across multiple locations and storerooms, both physically and across storeroom locations within the warehouse management system (Maximo).
– Use of forklift to transport large shipments around depots. If a forklift license is not currently obtained training and refresher training is provided.
– Replenish mechanics maintenance area stock as required.

– IT Literate – Able to use Asset Management system
– Knowledge of WMS/ERP, preferably SAP and Maximo or similar systems
– Forklift driving qualification (Training provided if not already attained)
– Full UK Driver’s Licence
– Experience of taking part in Stock take
