We are seeking an experienced Transport and Logistics Officer with proven expertise in customs and import clearance to oversee and optimise our logistics operations. The Transport and Logistics Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the organisation's transport and logistics operations to ensure goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. The role oversees drivers, delivery schedules, vehicle compliance, and distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport Management
- Plan and manage daily delivery schedules.
- Coordinate vehicle routing and driver allocation.
- Monitor delivery performance and resolve issues.
- Ensure timely and safe transportation of goods.
- Oversee vehicle usage and maintenance schedules.
- Manage goods movement between warehouse, stores, and customers.
- Ensure correct loading and unloading procedures.
- Monitor stock transfers and delivery documentation.
- Improve logistics efficiency and workflow.
- Support B2B and retail distribution operations.
- Understanding of UK transport regulations and compliance standards and ensure compliance.
