This is a contract remote role for an Independent Social Worker - WEST COUNTRY BASED. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing professional and comprehensive assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and managing complex cases that tend to be 'high conflict' entrenched and which commonly feature allegations of domestic abuse and parental alienation. The role will involve working independently and remotely to support children and families in the West Country region.

What we need from you:

  • Assessment and risk analysis skills
  • Therapy and Counselling skills
  • Appreciable experience of court-based work, of writing reports in private proceedings and of giving evidence in Family Court
  • Experience in working with diverse populations and family types
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident and assured report writing, ability to make evidenced based robust recommendations
  • Willingness and ability to work with challenging situations
  • Gender neutral attitudes and ways of working with domestic abuse and alienating behaviours
  • A commitment to the principle of shared parenting
  • Ability to work independently and remotely and willingness to co-work complex matters
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • DipHE/ BA or Master's degree in Social Work or related field
  • Therapeutic qualifications (regulated by BACP or equivalent SWE or HCPC)
