Ready to lead AI-powered change that actually lands? This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-impact AI and machine learning initiatives, shaping them from early discovery through to delivery, rollout and adoption. You’ll join a busy Transformation team delivering a major change portfolio across systems, processes, technology and people. The focus is simple: making sure colleagues have the right tools, information, support and confidence to work in smarter, more effective ways.

This is not a hands-off coordination role. You’ll be driving delivery, cutting through ambiguity, keeping momentum high and making sure AI initiatives are delivered safely, commercially and with measurable business value.

What you’ll be doing:

  • As AI Project Manager, you’ll take the lead on planning and delivering AI and machine learning projects from concept to implementation.
  • You’ll shape scope, organise delivery, manage plans, run Agile ceremonies where appropriate, remove blockers and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • You’ll coordinate releases, support change and adoption, track benefits and make sure new AI capabilities transition smoothly into business-as-usual operations.
  • You’ll work closely with teams across Business, Technology, Data, Security, Legal, Compliance and third-party partners, applying pragmatic governance and controls without slowing delivery down unnecessarily.
  • You’ll be trusted to manage risk, control spend, keep documentation sharp and make sure everyone knows what’s happening, what decisions are needed and what progress is being made.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience delivering complex technology and/or data projects, ideally with exposure to AI or machine-learning-enabled change.
  • Confidence managing delivery from discovery through to rollout and adoption, while maintaining the right level of governance, control and transparency.
  • Strong hands-on project delivery experience across Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid environments.
  • Experience managing backlogs, RAID logs, release plans, milestones, budgets, benefits and reporting.
  • A practical understanding of AI and machine learning delivery considerations, including data quality, privacy, security, bias, explainability, evaluation and model risk.
  • Confidence managing budgets, forecasts, supplier commercials and operational cost impacts.
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge and align different teams.
  • The ability to operate in ambiguity, lead iterative delivery and keep multiple workstreams moving.
  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and AI/ML lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as model versioning, monitoring and retraining.
  • Strong tooling capability across Jira, portfolio tools, MS Project or equivalent planning tools.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Copilot.
  • The ability to create clear, concise project artefacts for senior governance, including dashboards, papers, financials and communications.
  • PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum Master or equivalent qualifications would be useful, but equivalent hands-on experience is just as valuable.
  • End-to-end AI implementation experience would be a strong advantage.

Location and working pattern:

This is a hybrid role, with the option to work from home up to three days per week.
