Our global client is looking for a Card / Scheme / acquirer specialist to support multiple customers in the UK and Europe in the card payments space initially for a 6 month period however this is likely to be extended for several years as they like to keep people on.

Responsibilities

  • You will be required to demonstrate Leadership Responsibilities, including managing large clients and internal senior stakeholders' relationships as well as an aptitude for Decision Making where you will gather information, consult key stakeholders, and put decisions into action with the ability to consider the implications of options when making a difficult decision.
  • You’ll have excellent communication skills, good project management skills and the ability to deal with multiple customers simultaneously.
  • Your role will be to liaise with the customer and the operations department across numerous issues.
  • Experience in payments, card schemes, issuing, acquiring, or processing etc is required.
  • Day to day you will:
    • Provide support and consultancy to Acquirers, Processors and PSPs while being the contact point for all client related operational matters.
    • Proactively and autonomously resolve client business & technical problems while showing strong leadership.
    • Support business development teams to expand acceptance and oversee the onboarding of new Acquirers, Processors, PSPs, and software vendors on the network.
    • Support participants through the semi-annual release process.
    • Manage and coordinate certification.
    • Ensure participants are in compliance with operating rules and regulations. Engage participants to support network initiatives.
    • Implement new network products (EMV, 3DS, Digital, e-commerce, contactless, etc.) and solutions with existing network partners.
    • Manage technical communications with client’s technical team, project team, customer service teams and senior executives.
    • Execute department initiatives and ensure processes and projects are well documented to meet auditing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of the payment industry infrastructure (either from a Scheme, Acquirer or Processor’s perspective).
  • Client centric approach with the ability to interact across all management levels, demonstrating excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Natural relationship builder able to proficiently set and maintain great relationships with a portfolio of clients.
