Tasks:

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Determine weldability of materials.
  • Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.

Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, Steel, iron and heavy metals.

Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine, Spot welding machine.

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

  • Fast-paced environment.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles.

Personal suitability: Organized, Team player.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

Location: Unit-11, 8528 123 Street, Surrey, BC V3W 3V6.

Salary: $37.00 per hour, hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week.

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time, Day, Morning, Starts as soon as possible.
