World Wide Technology EMEA has an opportunity available for a Network Security Engineer to support our client by delivering key network infrastructure security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and remote access. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring security systems are planned, installed, configured, secured, and maintained, and will work with IT, engineering, and operations teams to create scalable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer network security infrastructure (firewalls, remote access, IDS/IPS).
- Translate business requirements into advanced firewall policies.
- Integration and management of Zscaler & Palo Alto firewalls.
- Oversee day-to-day network security engineering, including prioritization, incident management, and change management.
- Maintain security policies, procedures, and training plans.
- Collaborate with IT security teams to meet network security requirements.
- Assess threats, vulnerabilities, and implement best practices.
- Manage vendor quotes, budgeting, and maintain accurate records.
- Support other projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Network & Security Engineering working across complex environments.
- Strong experience working with Zscaler.
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls.
- Ability to design and implement enterprise security solutions.
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Must pass background and drug tests.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of SIEM systems.
- Experience with Next-Gen Firewalls, especially Palo Alto.
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing the contract. Must be an EU Citizen. Some occasional travel may be required. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
