World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineers to join a client-embedded Platform Health workstream. You will help deliver critical reliability and observability capabilities that underpin two major Azure milestones: Gold Dev and Azure General Availability.

The ideal candidate will work shoulder-to-shoulder with product, engineering, and leadership stakeholders building and operating the platform health infrastructure that keeps services resilient on a scale.

This is a contract role & Inside IR35.

Contract Duration: 6 months!

Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom (Onsite)

Job Description: Engineer will support Platform Health workstream, focusing on Azure GA readiness and Gold Dev milestones, with emphasis on observability, automation, and secure cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement SLOs/SLIs across user, application, and infrastructure layers
  • Build Azure platform health solutions using Terraform (IaC)
  • Develop Python-based automation, integrations, and webhook handlers
  • Work with Azure services: Service Health, Resource Graph, Log Analytics, Logic Apps, Storage Tables, Private Endpoints
  • Implement observability solutions (Grafana, alerting, synthetic monitoring)
  • Build event-driven integrations (Kafka, Splunk, REST APIs)
  • Apply cloud security best practices (RBAC, CMK, encryption, Private Endpoints)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
Key Skills:
  • Strong hands-on Azure platform experience
  • Terraform (production-level IaC)
  • Python development for automation and integrations
  • SLO/SLI design & observability tools (Grafana, ThousandEyes/APICA)
  • Event-driven architecture & API integrations
