World Wide Technology EMEA is looking for an experienced Firewall Security Engineer with strong skills in Checkpoint to support our clients' network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls and a solid understanding of enterprise network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Check Point firewalls (Gaia OS, Security Gateways, Management Servers)
- Manage security policies, NAT rules, VPNs (Site-to-Site and Remote Access), and access control lists
- Monitor firewall performance, logs, and alerts using SmartConsole / SmartEvent / SmartLog
- Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and security-related incidents
- Perform firmware/software upgrades and patch management (Jumbo HFAs)
- Implement and maintain IPS, Application Control, URL Filtering, Anti-Bot, and Threat Prevention blades
- Conduct regular security audits, rule base cleanups, and optimization
- Document network security configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures
