World Wide Technology (WWT), a global technology integrator and IT solutions provider, is looking for a Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineer. This role is part of WWT's Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT's preferred partners. This is a contract role & inside IR35.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Location: Manchester, United Kingdom (Hybrid with 3 days onsite per week)
Job Description: We are looking for a Kubernetes Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and help build, scale, and maintain our IKP infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems, automate processes, and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of the infrastructure platform.
- Collaborate in diagnosing and resolving IKP infrastructure issues.
- Support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Kubernetes platform.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement reliability improvements.
- Weekend support required.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Kubernetes concepts and operations.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code.
- Proficiency in observability and logging tools.
- Experience with Unix administration skills. Experience with Service Meshes is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract. Must be eligible to live and work in the specified work location. Some occasional travel may be required. Only successful candidates will be contacted.
