Company Description:
WW+P is a world-leading architecture and planning practice. Founded in 1985, the practice has more than 400 architects, urban designers and planners across 12 studios worldwide with 2 in the UK; London and Manchester. WW+P integrates planning, urban design, landscape and architecture to deliver projects that unite visionary regenerative design thinking with technical excellence. Our work spans scales and disciplines to build better cities, smarter infrastructure, and more inclusive communities – leading the next chapter in regenerative thinking.
Job Description:
We are looking for talented, ambitious, and committed candidates to join our expanding UK studio, working on some of the world’s highest profile infrastructure projects. We are looking for Part 2 Assistants with strong design expertise to join our Manchester studio.
Opportunity:
As part of our team, you will contribute to a broad range of design led projects, from large-scale infrastructure programmes to individual buildings, within a creative and collaborative studio. Our work spans across railways, airports, line wide design, bridges and mixed used developments. At the heart of our work is a clear and purposeful design approach: we listen first, think sustainably, create a clear vision and deliver a crafted response. Our approach is guided by core values that define who we are and how we work: we are people-focused, placing people at the heart of everything we do; we are inventive, finding elegant, forward-thinking solutions to complex challenges; and we are responsible, designing with care for social and environmental impact.
Experience working in a design-led practice on UK or international projects is desired along with experience in infrastructure design. Applicants must be skilled in Revit, Rhino and Adobe suites. Candidates invited to interview after pre-selection will be asked to undertake a Revit Knowledge Test before an in-person interview. We work mainly on larger scale projects but if you have comprehensive experience delivering smaller schemes to a high standard, we would be delighted to hear from you – the quality of your skills and experience are more important to us than the scale of projects you have worked on.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding design skills – at any or all work stages
- Good communication and presentation skills – verbally and graphically
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Experience working in a design-led architectural practice and candidates who are highly creative, environmental, technical and design orientated with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to change quickly across multiple aspects of a project
- Skilled in Revit and can pass threshold of Revit assessment and proficient with BIM workflow
- Proficiency in Rhino and Grasshopper
- Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign.
- Part 2 Diploma or Masters
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
