Job overview

To work in partnership with the Medical Workforce Team colleagues to provide a pro-active, solution focussed and high-quality Recruitment Service for the temporary staffing Medical bank.

To provide an effective and efficient comprehensive specialist recruitment for the medical bank with internal and external recruitment with an aim to grow the bank and to drive down agency cost.

To work closely with the Divisional rota coordinators and Medical Workforce Team for a streamlined process to onboard internal doctors an effective and efficient medical bank on boarding service to maximise internal bank uptake for locum shifts.

This post is advertised as a part time post of 22.5 hours per week, these days can be negotiable.

The role would benefit someone who has previous experience of working on the TRAC recruitment system and a basic knowledge of medical recruitment.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will oversee the end-to-end recruitment process for all the bank recruitment.

  • Administration of the entire recruitment process using the TRAC Recruitment Management system, for all temporary medical bank staff.
  • To ensure all pre-employment and ID checks for bank medical staff are completed in a timely fashion, in line with Trust policy and to ensure all medical staff are appropriately cleared to commence work.
  • Work in accordance with NHS Employment Check Standards, Recruitment & Selection Policy and Standard Operating Procedures and best practice requirements.
  • Ensure that Recruitment KPI’s are met, producing reports and liaising with Recruiting Managers as appropriate.
  • Apply thorough attention to detail to ensure that all documentation relating to Recruitment policies and procedures including that which is produced by the team is accurate and of a high quality and recorded and retained on TRAC.
  • To administer the on boarding and removing of internal doctors to the bank
  • Work closely with Medical Recruitment agencies to identify cost effective recruitment to hard to fill medical posts
  • To be a super user on the bank and agency medical temporary staffing system TempRE
  • To undertake recruitment activity as required by the needs of the service.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Person specification

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE level in Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent
  • Customer care or business administration NVQ level 3

Experience

  • Knowledge of TRAC
  • Experience of Medical Workforce
  • Knowledge of Tempre system

Skills

  • Able to build positive relationships with managers and colleagues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to meet deadlines in co-operation with others as part of a team
  • Experience in managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload to match management objectives
  • Fully conversant on Microsoft office software
  • Excel spreadsheet knowledge

Knowledge

  • Up to date knowledge of recruitment – employment law and requirements for pre-employment screening including immigration, references and DBS
  • Knowledge of a medical locum bank system
  • Knowledge of medical recruitment and junior doctor rotational processes

Additional

  • Ability to travel between Trust sites
  • Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role, i.e. with confidence and accuracy, using correct sentence structures and vocabulary,and without hesitation.
