The post holder will be based in the Dermatology Department at the Prosser White Dermatology Unit, Leigh Infirmary. The role involves delivering acute dermatology services and clinical supervision of two GPST2 doctors. The position is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Main Duties:

  • Participate in the provision of outpatient clinics at Leigh Infirmary.
  • Cover for occasional brief absences of colleagues, including emergency and unforeseen circumstances, without additional remuneration.
  • Generally responsible for general dermatology out‑patient clinics in a consultant‑led secondary care service.
  • Serve as Clinical Supervisor to two GPST2 doctors, including monthly tutorials with each trainee.
  • Carry out two outpatient clinics a week and maintain reasonable flexibility to support nursing staff and provide advice as reflected in the agreed job plan.
  • Comply fully with all aspects of clinical governance.
