About the role
We are seeking a Senior Policy Adviser to join our Policy Solutions team. You will help deliver a new 3-year strategy to restore nature in the UK and combat global deforestation. Your focus will be on promoting sustainable land use and resilient food and farming systems through policy advocacy, especially targeting the UK, EU, and China markets.
The role involves developing, influencing, and implementing policies related to deforestation and sustainable supply chains. You will build on existing advocacy and campaigns, analyze policy effectiveness, produce technical reports, and develop strategic partnerships.
This position is ideal for creative policy specialists interested in designing, prototyping, and influencing policy outcomes.
Candidate requirements
- Experience in policy development
- Deep knowledge in areas such as deforestation, supply chains, land use, agriculture, food, fisheries, trade, climate, or nature restoration
- Understanding of policy influence inside and outside government
- Experience engaging stakeholders and driving policy change
- Knowledge of working within a global network and UK context
- Research skills, including commissioning and analysis
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Benefits, rewards & location
The salary is £44,000 – £49,000 pa, with a comprehensive benefits package including:
