Join us at WWF-UK as an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator. This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours) based at the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey, with hybrid working options requiring a minimum of 40% in-person collaboration per month.

About the role

We are excited to be recruiting for an Events and Community Fundraising Coordinator to join our team and help deliver engaging fundraising activity that supports WWF’s mission to protect and restore nature. We are looking for someone with an interest in Events and Community Fundraising, who is looking for a new challenge to develop their fundraising knowledge and skills. This is a varied and fast-paced role at the heart of our Events and Community Fundraising team.

You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of our fundraising activity, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while also providing an excellent experience for our supporters and volunteers. You will be the first point of contact for many of our fundraisers, helping to inspire, guide and support them throughout their journey. Alongside this, you will manage key administrative processes, ensure activity is set up accurately across our systems, and help create engaging resources and content to grow participation and income. You will also take the lead on developing our 'DIY' events programme, helping to grow this area and bring in new supporters. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to build their experience in fundraising, events and supporter engagement.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in a fundraising, customer service or administrative role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and support a wide range of people
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment
  • Confidence using systems and databases, with experience of CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Interest in events, fundraising or supporter engagement
  • Experience in events or community fundraising
  • Experience supporting or working with volunteers
  • Experience creating engaging content or fundraising materials
  • Experience working with digital platforms, websites or social media
  • Understanding of supporter journeys or fundraising campaigns
  • Interest in or passion for environmental or conservation issues
