The successful candidate will lead on the continued growth and development of our highly successful 2030 Circle – a giving club bringing together like-minded people around a shared goal: to halt the loss of the natural world by 2030. As Senior Philanthropy Manager you will set the vision for our giving club (£5k+) at a really pivotal moment – five years since the Club was launched and with five years left to deliver against the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. You will review and lead strategic plans to meet ambitious team targets. You will collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver a robust and varied engagement and stewardship calendar, and you will liaise with programmes teams to report on impact achieved on our priority projects. You will have proven experience of building committed and impactful relationships with a range of philanthropic donors including trusts, foundations and high net worth individuals. You will share our passion for protecting the future of our planet for people and nature and be skilled at inspiring supporters both in person and in writing. We’re looking for someone with: · Experience of managing a portfolio of trusts, foundations and individuals, with a track record of delivering income targets. · Experience of working with high net worth individuals. · Demonstrable experience in identifying and tracking new funding opportunities. · Experience of using fundraising databases/CRM systems. · A good understanding of the philanthropic sector and of major giving clubs. · Excellent communication, relationship building & interpersonal skills. · Desire to embrace and encourage collaborative working. Benefits, rewards & location The salary for this role is £43,851. We also offer a full benefits and rewards package including: · Annual leave starting at 26 days a year, rising one day each year to a maximum of 30 days plus bank holidays · Flexible working options · 7.5% employer contribution to pension, increased to 10% with employee contribution. · Training and development opportunities · Regular wellbeing initiatives. This role is hybrid and you’ll be required to be in the office 20% of your contracted hours. The job is based at our UK head office, the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey.
