As an HR Advisor, you will provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice and compliance with company policies. This is a hands-on generalist role suitable for someone with strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance processes.
- Support recruitment and onboarding, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and induction.
- Administer absence, holiday, and leave records, ensuring accurate HR documentation.
- Coordinate learning and development activities, liaising with managers and the training team.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring timely and accurate submission of HR data.
- Maintain HR systems and personnel files in line with GDPR and company standards.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement and wellbeing.
- Provide guidance on performance management, probation reviews, and appraisals.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics as required.
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist role.
- Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in MS Office and HRIS systems.
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment is advantageous.
