You are here to build the systems the commercial team, and eventually the wider business, runs on.
Requirements
- Real developer experience: production code (Python, Type Script or similar), comfortable with APIs and data, and able to query a database directly.
- 2–5 years of experience.
This does not need to have been in a role like this one, as long as the skills are there — engineering, technical product, data, consulting, a startup, or personal projects all count.
- A strong technical degree (engineering, maths, computer science, physics or similar) from a leading Russell Group university, or the international equivalent.
- LLMs in everything you do, and something built well beyond a prompt: agents, tool use, retrieval, evaluation, or a workflow that runs unattended.
Evidence required, not just the claim.
- Evidence of building automation a business depended on, ideally near sales or marketing.
- Commercial instinct: you know a funnel, and can tell a metric moving from a metric mattering.
- Comfortable with data quality work: enrichment, matching, deduplication, and recognising when a dataset is lying to you.
- High ownership and a bias to shipping: happy to sit with non-technical colleagues, watch them work, and put something in their hands within days.
- Ability to translate business issues into actionable insights.
