Wulfrun offers a 24-hour emergency manufacturing service, rapid turnaround, and premium quality at competitive prices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wolverhampton. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities in target sectors, build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, and manage the sales pipeline from lead generation through to contract negotiation and closing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understanding customer technical requirements for API20E/20F and PED qualified products.
  • Preparing quotations and proposals in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Contributing to pricing and commercial strategy.
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis.
  • Attending industry events and customer visits.
  • Accurate reporting of sales activities and forecasts.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service and on-time delivery.
  • Aligning production capacity with market demand.

Qualifications:

  • Proven business development, sales, or account management experience in manufacturing, oil & gas, power generation, and defence sectors or related industrial sectors.
  • Strong commercial skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, negotiation, and closing complex B2B deals.
  • Technical aptitude and the ability to understand engineered products, fasteners, CNC machined components, and relevant standards (API20E/20F, PED).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, including experience using CRM tools and preparing accurate sales reports and forecasts.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wolverhampton and travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
