WTW's Pensions Data Solutions team is helping some of the UK's largest Defined Benefit pension schemes tackle complex data challenges, improve member outcomes and prepare for future strategic initiatives.

We're looking for an experienced Pensions Data Consulting Director to manage client engagements, develop innovative solutions and drive the continued growth of our market-leading pensions data consulting practice.

This is a senior, client-facing role requiring deep pensions consulting experience, strong commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships with pension managers, trustees and key decision-makers.

The role combines technical pensions knowledge with consulting and business development responsibilities.

This role can be based in Reigate, Bristol, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or Edinburgh with hybrid working.

The Role

As a Pensions Data Consulting Director, you will

  • Act as a trusted adviser to Pension Managers, Trustee Boards and senior stakeholders across a diverse portfolio of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes.
  • Manage complex data consulting engagements, helping clients understand, improve and maximise the value of their pension scheme data.
  • Develop and execute client data strategies, including benefit rectifications, that deliver measurable value and strong commercial outcomes.
  • Drive business development activity, identifying opportunities to expand relationships and introduce new solutions and services.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful delivery, quality outcomes and strong financial performance.
  • Work collaboratively with administrators, actuaries, legal advisers, technology specialists and external suppliers to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Coach and mentor colleagues whilst contributing to the continued growth and development of the Data Solutions practice.
  • Promote innovation, best practice and new ideas across our pensions data consulting services.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

We're seeking an established pensions professional with a track record of delivering consulting outcomes and developing client relationships within the UK pensions market.

  • Extensive knowledge of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes
  • Experience managing client-facing pensions consulting engagements and presenting to senior stakeholders, trustees and pension managers.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including experience of scoping, pricing, budgeting and managing project profitability.
  • Experience managing multiple complex projects and workstreams simultaneously.
  • A consultative approach with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to a range of audiences.
  • Experience building and growing client relationships while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of pensions data auditing, data improvement, data cleansing, GMP projects and pension administration systems would be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills.
