We are looking for an enthusiastic technology minded individual to join our growing team as a DevOps Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from experienced Engineers and gain hands-on experience streamlining software development pipelines using modern DevOps technologies. This is an interesting and varied role, using a wide range of technologies, combining strategic work with short-term tactical fixes and improvements. You will build upon our DevOps culture across the organisation, sharing modern practices and always challenging the status quo.
The Role:
- Work with the DevOps Lead, team and wider community to help design and implement scalable, secure, resilient and performant deployment pipelines & infrastructure using Azure DevOps.
- Assist in the design and implementation of IaC and other tasks contributing to continuous delivery pipelines.
- Assist in debugging tooling, infrastructure issues and performance bottlenecks, dispatching product-related issues to immediate stakeholders where applicable.
- Support client, employment, installation and configuration processes.
- Work within a culture of operational excellence, focusing on appropriate observability tooling (monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, self-healing).
- Ensure compliance and alignment with wider governance policies and standards by implementing security measures and best practices.
- Taking part in training and development to grow skills & confidence.
- Keep up with the latest industry research and emerging technologies as well as facilitate knowledge sharing internally.
- Work closely with architects and engineering teams to shape technical designs, standards, and patterns.
- Contribute to the solution architecture of cloud infrastructure aligned with business and security requirements.
- Participate in technical discovery and propose scalable and cost-effective Azure solutions.
