Position within the Direct GB business unit responsible for the retention and servicing of existing global clients and the development of new business, utilising market and internal WTW relationships with a focus on North American Casualty.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Broker to join our London-based North American Casualty team. This role involves managing key client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and delivering high-quality broking services within the Corporate Risk & Broking segment. You will focus on casualty lines for North American clients, including general liability, auto liability, umbrella/excess liability, and specialty casualty programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess clients’ operational exposures and risk transfer needs, delivering tailored casualty solutions and ongoing advisory support.
- Understand and adhere to business unit policies and procedures, providing clear explanations when required.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, retail offices, and insurers across the North American casualty marketplace.
- Provide technical, industry, and subject-matter expertise, leveraging team and Group resources as appropriate.
- Develop effective placement strategies, pricing approaches, and program structures to meet client needs, grow the portfolio, and deliver profitable business.
- Manage the full client lifecycle from pre-placement strategy through post-placement servicing, ensuring exceptional delivery at every stage.
- Drive creative product and solutions development, identifying emerging client needs and collaborating with internal teams and markets to design innovative casualty offerings and differentiated program structures.
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Knowledge of casualty insurance markets—North American experience is beneficial but not required. Candidates with broader casualty experience and strong commercial acumen are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience working within casualty insurance, broking, underwriting, or a related risk-focused discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of client service.
- Skilled at building effective relationships at all levels with clients, prospects, colleagues, insurers, and external specialists.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Familiarity with WTW’s products, services, and placement capabilities (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Experience working with and adhering to processes and systems that support high-quality client service delivery.
