The Technology Resilience Assurance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing assurance of initiatives that strengthen the organisation’s technology resilience. This mid-level position is focused on ensuring that critical systems, applications, and infrastructure are robust, capable of withstanding disruption, and able to recover effectively across a range of recovery scenarios.

The Role

  • Provide subject matter expertise on infrastructure resilience and recovery methodologies, considering resiliency best practice and industry standards.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the organisation’s technology resilience strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overarching resilience objectives.
  • Support business and IT stakeholders in incorporating resilience considerations into both existing and new technology solutions.
  • Ensure all required resiliency control standards are embedded and adhered to across design, testing and reporting activities.
  • Perform resilience assessments of Core Services and Business Applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Evaluate that technologies have appropriate recovery solutions in place and that Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) can successfully be achieved through disaster recovery testing.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of technology resilience plans to ensure the availability of IT infrastructure and applications during disruptions or disasters.
  • Support the design and implementation of disaster recovery procedures for critical IT systems and applications.
  • Assist with regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to IT infrastructure and help develop mitigation plans.
  • Participate in regular testing of IT resilience plans to ensure their effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and/or contractual requirements.
  • Track resilience metrics and compliance across the organization, and prepare regular reports for management, stakeholders and auditors.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization to promote a culture of resilience and encourage adoption of resilience best practices.
  • Collaborate with Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Incident Management and Crisis Management teams to build an integrated, proactive and resilient organization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations such as ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and GDPR, UK Op Res, DORA etc.

Qualifications

  • Experience in disaster recovery or technology resilience roles.
  • Experience of designing, organising, leading and reporting on disaster recovery tests.
  • Strong project management skills, especially in relation to planning and executing technical disaster recovery exercises.
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring frameworks and controls to support technology resilience.
  • Experience in engaging stakeholders and collaborating with teams to ensure full commitment to technology resilience initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications and cloud computing.
  • Understand system interdependencies and behaviour during recovery scenarios.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks e.g. ISO 22301, ITIL, NIST etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels of the organisation.
