We are seeking a Client Advocate to join our GB Retail team. The position has two primary areas of responsibility. Firstly, as business developer taking responsibility to win new clients and support the Regional Director (RD) with the growth of the region. Secondly, as account director taking responsibility for the smooth running, growth and development of client accounts.

You will retain a client book with the expected split of time to be 60/40 growth and development/client work. You will work with the business development team and be part of the sales community, working to develop your own prospects individually and alongside the team. You will be leading by example, ensuring that client service level standards and performance are consistent with agreed levels, flagging any concerns to the RD to enable them to step in and support as required.

The Role

  • Working with the Regional Director and Business development team to develop opportunities with key prospects within the Northeast of England.
  • Developing own book of prospects.
  • Contributing to the sales strategy within the Northeast area.
  • Networking and meeting local/relevant business leaders in the community.
  • Active use and promotion of WTW on LinkedIn.
  • Collaborating with other WTW colleagues, lines of business and practice leaders to deliver the best WTW solutions to prospects possible.
  • Maintaining a personal portfolio of clients.
  • Being part of the Account Director community to utilise the full breadth of skills and experience from the broader WTW business, to connect WTW and deliver the best of WTW to our clients and our prospects and sharing best practice.

Qualifications

  • Excellent and proven client relationship and management skills.
  • Demonstrable track record in development and winning of prospects.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a complex environment.
  • Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity, gain agreement and manage conflict.
  • Strong skills in problem solving.
  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy, operating environment and business objectives.
  • Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Strong awareness of compliance environment with thorough understanding of conduct risk.
  • A proactive ambassador for WTW in the external business community.
