Reporting into the Corporate Risk and Broking Global Head of Data Strategy, this role leads the CRB Data Lab, driving innovation and new data product development to transform the Risk & Broking business strategy into high value data solutions. This role oversees the creation of AI driven tools and ensures domain knowledge is structured for technical implementation, collaborating with business units and Corporate IT. This role would also be involved in accelerating insurance product innovation using fast data and AI. This position balances strategic innovation and product development with governance and business integration.
The Role:
- Innovation & Product Development– Leading Data Product creation for Risk & Broking:
- Manage Data innovation, driving innovation in insurance using fast data and AI techniques
- Lead development of new data products (e.g., AI-driven risk tools, broking platforms), defining strategic vision and blueprints
- Document processes into automated business rules and decision logic
- Collaborate with our internal teams to prototype and test innovative tools
- Identify data driven solutions for the Corporate Risk and Broking segment challenges, embedding them in product roadmaps
- Align solution designs with Corporate Azure/Fabric infrastructure
- Championing and orchestrating cross-functional collaboration, ensuring stakeholder engagement and management, as required
- Oversee the Corporate Risk and Broking Data Lab strategy, governance, and compliance with Corporate standards (e.g., GDPR)
- Act as technical product owner for the Corporate Risk and Broking data portfolio, prioritizing development and integration
- Coordinate integration of data products into Corporate Risk and Broking workflows and platforms
- Maintain governance for business rules, ensuring accuracy and ethical use
- Track KPIs for Lynx Program and data products (e.g., operational efficiency, placement success)
- Present plans to Risk and Broking leadership, securing alignment for data roadmaps
Qualifications
What you will bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- Extensive experience in technical product management or data product leadership
- Proficiency in data analysis and scripting (Python, R, SQL)
- Expertise with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure/Fabric
- Proven experience leading AI/ML programs for business applications
- Deep domain knowledge gained from within the insurance or financial services industry
- Strong collaboration skills with IT, understanding data architecture, databases, APIs
- Expertise in business process modelling and converting R&B needs into logic
- Proficiency in agile environments, managing product backlogs and requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex Corporate Risk and Broking challenges
- Proven delivery track record on Corporate Risk and Broking projects
- Ability to communicate technical and business concepts to stakeholders
- High professional credibility in technical and strategic domains
- Proactive in driving clarity through challenging questions
