The Senior Project Manager will lead the execution of a complex, enterprise-wide transformation program, translating strategic direction into a clear and controlled delivery plan. This role requires a hands-on project leader who can select and apply the right project management methodologies, establish effective governance, and drive disciplined delivery across multiple workstreams and senior stakeholders. Subject matter expertise will be provided by dedicated specialists; the role will ensure that skills, job profile, governance, and technology workstreams come together through a single integrated plan, with primary accountability for project structure, pace, dependencies, and execution.
This is an 18-month fixed-term contract and can be a fully remote role, giving you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK, with optional office access if desired. As an alternative location, we will also consider candidates based in the US Eastern Time Zone.
The Role
- Mobilize the program and establish the delivery approach, governance structure, decision rights, forums, cadence, and controls.
- Build and maintain the integrated plan, including milestones, resources, dependencies, critical path, and deliverables.
- Apply fit-for-purpose project management methodologies and tools, adapting them to the scale, complexity, and evolving needs of the program.
- Drive day-to-day execution across workstreams, clarify ownership, hold teams to account, and remove delivery barriers.
- Own RAID, change control, issue resolution, dependency management, and escalation, with clear recommendations and follow-through.
- Provide concise, decision-oriented reporting for the Project Lead, SteerCo, and senior stakeholders.
- Manage the interdependencies between the Career Framework, job profiles, skills architecture, governance, and technology solution so they are delivered as one connected enterprise capability.
- Coordinate internal teams, subject matter experts, technology partners, and external advisers to deliver agreed outcomes.
- Partner with HR IT project manager on the HR technology integration timeline and plan, coordinating design, build, testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and transition into support.

Qualifications
What you'll bring
- Extensive experience leading large, global, complex, cross-functional transformation programs from mobilization through implementation.
- Proven success designing and establishing program governance, including decision rights, SteerCo structures, delivery forums, controls, and reporting.
- Strong command of project management methodologies, with the judgment to select and tailor waterfall, agile, or hybrid approaches.
- Demonstrated ownership of integrated planning, critical path, resources, budgets, RAID, dependencies, change control, and delivery assurance.
- Ability to create pace, structure, and accountability in ambiguous environments while operating credibly with senior stakeholders.
- Experience delivering across global, matrixed organizations; HR transformation experience is helpful but not essential.
- Relevant project or program management certification is preferred.
- Experience planning and delivering complex technology integrations, including testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.
