Broker position within the Facultative GB business, responsible for placing, retaining and servicing existing NA & Retro cedants, while developing and converting new business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth team with significant scope for business development, market engagement, relationship building and career progression.

The Role:

  • Manage and develop relationships with cedants, clients, brokers and (re)insurers across London and international markets.
  • Lead the placement, renewal and servicing of NA & Retro business, identifying appropriate markets and placement strategies.
  • Understand client risks and develop tailored solutions, programme structures and pricing strategies.
  • Support new business development, including prospecting, RFPs, presentations and converting sales opportunities.
  • Identify portfolio growth, cross-selling and new-from-existing opportunities.
  • Negotiate effectively with markets and build strong, long-term relationships with underwriters and key market contacts.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant contract processing, documentation and use of WTW broking systems.
  • Work collaboratively with Account Executives, Sales and wider WTW teams to deliver strong client outcomes and profitable growth.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in Insurance Broking or Underwriting, with relevant (re)insurance and Retrocession experience.
  • Good understanding of the (re)insurance market and experience managing client/cedant and market relationships.
  • Experience across retail, reinsurance and retrocession placements; NA experience is desirable.
  • Strong client management, negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify and convert business development opportunities.
  • Ability to understand complex risks, develop solutions and communicate recommendations effectively.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with excellent Excel and MS Office capability.
  • Experience with broking systems, Power BI, PQ/RIC is desirable.
  • ACII qualified or working towards ACII is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to FCA, WTW policies and regulatory requirements.
