A Senior Claims Advocate with at least five yearsβ experience within the Construction, Energy, and/or Property & Casualty sector. First-hand experience of managing large losses on CAR/EAR, DSU, and TPL claims. Some experience of Professional Indemnity claims would be advantageous. A legal background would be helpful.
Deliver high-quality Claims Service to our client Bechtel, ensuring Key Client Outcomes are met according to pre-defined service standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Individual Contributor: Geographic Scope: Based in the UK with international responsibility.
- Conduct Risk: Prioritize clients' interests and market integrity in all business dealings.
- Revenue Responsibilities: Not applicable.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accountable for Key Client Outcome (KCO) 5: Claims paid within a reasonable time frame.
- Ensure prompt resolution of market-related loss issues and queries.
- Prioritize and complete all broking activities within targets; monitor and address exceptions.
- Manage financial aspects like Uncorrelated Cash and Bureau debt, taking pre-emptive actions to prevent issues.
- Build constructive relationships and lead correspondence with clients, underwriters, third parties, and service providers under senior guidance, aligning with the Client Service Proposition.
- Negotiate claims authorities and funds with insurers/reinsurers.
- Notify insurers/reinsurers immediately upon receipt of claim advice and respond as needed.
- Negotiate claims settlements to minimize client loss, leading contentious claims with market knowledge.
- Coordinate with colleagues and maintain communication records for high-profile claims.
- Travel as needed for catastrophe losses or claims reviews.
- Support sales team with accurate renewal information.
- Identify and leverage account penetration and cross-selling opportunities.
- Recommend process improvements in Claims areas.
- Adhere to Group policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and ensure performance of underwriters, reinsurers, and service providers.
- Contribute to quality assessments like the Willis Quality Index.
Other Responsibilities:
- Contribute to BU approach on Client Service Proposition.
- Support senior Claims Advocates in appraisals and reviews.
- Oversee provision of management information.
- Support risk management efforts and participate in seminars.
