Responsibilities

This programme is both an opportunity to make an impact and your first step towards a lasting career within our Retirement team. Working closely with industry-leading colleagues, you’ll:

  • Help our analysts and consultants produce calculations and provide advice to clients
  • Work as part of a consulting team on a wide variety of complex client projects
  • Continuously develop your technical skills with the support of your colleagues and a dedicated mentor
  • Build relationships with clients as well as colleagues
  • Play your part in delivering exceptional service to our clients
  • Be free to explore specialised areas of our work
  • Join a lively community of apprentices in our Reigate office and beyond

Qualifications

Everyone in the team will be there to help you learn and grow throughout your two to three years on the apprenticeship programme, particularly while you’re studying for your Level 4 Actuarial Technician Apprenticeship qualification. To transform your tomorrow with WTW, you’ll need to be:

  • A-Level qualified, with at least three A-Levels including a B in Maths
  • Comfortable working with and analysing complex numbers
  • Good at working with others as part of a team
  • Organised, adaptable and ready to make a real contribution from day one
  • Computer literate, ideally with some understanding of Excel

Over the course of 24-36 months, alongside the responsibilities of your role, you will also complete a programme of study for your exams. Whilst WTW and the selected government approved training provider will equip you with all of the materials required, six hours per week to focus on your studies, and the support of a tutor, you will need to ensure that you are meeting all key milestones set out at the beginning of your apprenticeship and achieving the standards required, both academically and in your role. We’re open to hybrid working for this role, which means blending working at home with at least 3 days in the office, collaborating with the people around you and learning from your colleagues.
