Job Description

Geomatics Surveyor

Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite in Salisbury

Salary: Up to £45,000

Employment Type: Permanent

We’re supporting an expanding renewables energy client in their search for a Geomatics Surveyor to join their expanding Geomatics team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced surveyor to take on a technically engaging role with strong project ownership and client interaction.

The role:

As Geomatics Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in leading projects, liaising with clients, and supporting junior staff. You'll work closely with the Geomatics Manager and Technical Director to ensure the technical and commercial success of survey operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead geomatics survey projects including planning, data acquisition, processing, QA and reporting
  • Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support fieldwork operations and troubleshoot technical queries
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment
  • Contribute to developing and improving survey procedures and documentation
  • Mentor junior team members and support technical training
  • Identify risks and ensure delivery against project milestones

What we're looking for:

  • Strong background in land and/or hydrographic survey
  • Hands-on experience with GNSS, Total Stations, Laser Scanners, MBES, and associated survey software
  • Confident communicator across technical and client-facing environments
  • Ability to manage project resources and deadlines
