Hydrographic Surveyor – Offshore Energy Projects

I’m working with a leading global offshore energy solutions provider on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Hydrographic Surveyor to join their specialist team. This is an excellent chance to work on complex projects across topside, marine, subsea, logistics and more, with a business that plays a crucial role in keeping global offshore energy moving safely, reliably and efficiently .

The role:

This position will see you getting stuck in across:

  • Mobilising and maintaining survey equipment & sensors
  • Assisting vessel masters with safety matters
  • Conducting hydrographic data acquisition, processing & QA
  • Handling equipment calibrations & verifications
  • Liaising with clients, attending site meetings & supporting project admin
  • Keeping project info up to date in ASANA
  • Working closely with the Hydrographic Survey Manager to keep projects on time and budget

What we’re looking for:

✔️ 5+ years’ experience in hydrographic surveying

✔️ A degree in Hydrographic Surveying or similar

✔️ Strong hands-on skills with GNSS, MRU, Multibeam Echosounders, Sidescan Sonars

✔️ A confident communicator with clients, vessel crews and wider project teams

The package:

  • Up to £65K
  • Minimum 120 days offshore (with an uplift for any additional offshore days)
  • Remaining days can be worked offshore, remotely, in the office or supporting training/processing
