We’re on the lookout for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the growing teams across Australia. The role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including:

  • Estimating, planning and cost management
  • Cost monitoring and accurate financial reporting
  • Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
  • Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
  • Master-plan and feasibility budgets
  • Cost checking of developing design
  • Value engineering
  • Tender evaluations and analysis
  • Contract negotiations
  • Cash flow projects
  • Procurement
  • Cost reporting
  • Evaluation of variations
  • Valuations
  • Final account reporting
  • Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
  • Investment analysis
  • Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • RICS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in the use of Cost X
  • A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception to completion and post-project review
  • Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
