The role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including:
- Estimating, planning and cost management
- Cost monitoring and accurate and timely financial reporting
- Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
- Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
- Master-plan and feasibility budgets
- Cost checking of developing design
- Value engineering
- Tender evaluations and analysis
- Contract negotiations
- Cash flow projects
- Procurement
- Cost reporting
- Evaluation of variations
- Valuations
- Final account reporting
- Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
- Investment analysis
- Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- RICS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
- Proficient in the use of Cost X
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
- Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a team and control multiple projects/client commissions
