We are supporting a Real Estate Investment & Asset Manager with a commercial portfolio worth over £1 billion across the UK who are looking to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor / Project Manager to join their team based in London.
This position will report to the Project Director and will mainly focus on the delivery of asset business plans by ensuring refurbishment, repair, development and project works are properly scoped, procured, contracted, administered and completed in a way that protects value, controls risk and returns assets to income-producing use efficiently.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business with ongoing investment across the existing portfolio plus new acquisitions.
You will be joining a business with a strong pipeline of significant projects and internal demand for technical and project expertise.
Key Building Surveyor/ Project Manager requirements
- Strong commercial building surveying background (ideally within a client-side role).
- MRICS or equivalent building surveying/project management qualification.
- Strong construction, refurbishment, defects and project delivery knowledge.
- Commercial control across budget, programme, procurement, contract administration and value delivery.
- Clear understanding of CDM, Building Control, planning, Party Wall, insurance and statutory requirements.
- Ability to manage consultants, contractors, design teams and external advisers.
- Strong documentation traits, for example contract records, project files and data room requirements.
- Ability to work with internal teams such as Asset Management, Property Management and Facilities Management.
- Able to manage multiple projects with strict control of cost, programme, contract position and detail.
Salary c.£80,000 per annum, plus benefits package and discretionary bonus.
Office based in Central London (the role will mainly be based in the office plus site visits and some flexibility to WFH).
