Class 1 Driver in Knottingley

Join Panda Waste at our Wolverhampton depot. We are looking for a reliable, professional Class 1 Driver to operate Articulated vehicles within our growing team.

The Pay & Perks

• Standard Rate: £14.50 per hour
• Overtime Rate: £21.75 per hour (Paid at 1.5x)
• Early Start Bonus: £10.00 extra per day (for starts before 04:30)
• Daily Bonus Potential: Up to £13.00 per day (£65 per week)
• Meal Allowance: £3.00 daily allowance
• Night Shift Allowance: £26.50 per night (when night work is required)

The Schedule

• Status: Full-Time, Permanent
• Hours: Monday – Friday (Occasional Saturdays required)
• Shift Times: Typical window between 05:00 and 17:00
• Stability: Consistent routes and a supportive local depot team

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Articulated vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and compliance reporting.
• Maintaining digital tacho records and ensuring full compliance with WTD.
• Communicating effectively with the transport office.

Requirements

• Licence: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) & Driver CPC.
• ADR: Must hold a valid ADR licence.
• Tacho: Current Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional Class 1 driving.
• Insurance: Must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.
• Geography: Strong knowledge of Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.
