Key responsibilities of the role

  • Day to day running of a range of valuation instructions, for a variety of purposes (Loan Security, Financial Accounting, Taxation, Probate, Strategic Asset Management etc).
  • Property inspections and measured surveys.
  • Standard property due diligence.
  • Valuations and report writing.
  • Representing and dealing directly with the firm’s clients (many of whom are Blue Chip).
  • Responsible for maintaining/improving client relationships by way of upholding quality standards.
  • Maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • Keeping abreast of valuation standards and best practices, as well as market movements, to enhance technical and market knowledge of all aspects of valuation.
  • Opportunity to develop own business relationships, instructions, and clients both internally and externally.
  • What we will be looking for
  • Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with Post Qualification experience.
  • RICS Registered Valuer Status.
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
  • A working understanding of the RICS Red Book and Code of Measuring Practice.
  • A good understanding of both the UK commercial and residential property markets.
  • Well-developed report writing skills and an ability to identify key issues impacting value and asset security.
  • A working knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law would be helpful.
  • A good working knowledge of valuation software (KEL and Argus Developer), as well as Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • A strong team mindset with a willingness to undertake challenging and diverse workload in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively investigate the market to obtain data and act on it.
  • A strong desire to proactively progress your career within a global company.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective time management.
  • Full UK driving license.
