We are seeking a Technical Director to support our major programme multidisciplinary capability, playing a pivotal role in shaping and delivering complex, high‑value schemes across the UK. This is a strategic leadership role within a fully integrated, multi‑discipline consultancy, offering the opportunity to lead major projects that bring together architecture, engineering and specialist disciplines at scale. The position goes beyond a traditional architectural leadership role, providing end‑to‑end influence across programme definition, technical delivery and client engagement across a diverse multi‑sector portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Sector Leadership and Growth
- Act as a senior leader with the agility and experience to work across multiple sectors, supporting the growth of our offer.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients and stakeholders within complex organisations and supply chains.
- Contribute to sector strategy, positioning WSP as a leading delivery partner for major national programmes.
- Lead delivery on large scale, multi‑discipline projects, working across integrated teams.
- Provide technical and strategic leadership on projects involving complex operational, security and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a programme level adviser ensuring alignment between architectural design and wider engineering and infrastructure solutions.
