Join WSP as a Technical Director (Infrastructure Planning) and lead the planning and consenting work on major national infrastructure projects across the UK. In this role you will provide technical leadership to clients, manage consenting requirements, and navigate complex statutory approval regimes.
Responsibilities
- Lead consenting inputs on major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc.).
- Provide strong technical leadership and advice to clients and manage their consenting requirements.
- Coordinate the preparation and submission of consent applications under the Town and Country Planning Acts, Planning Act 2008, or other regimes.
- Act as Project Director for projects led and managed by the Infrastructure Planning business.
- Lead complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients.
- Act as Planning Expert Witness at DCO examinations or other hearings or inquiries.
- Support and pursue new work winning opportunities in line with WSP Growth Strategy.
- Leverage strong project finance understanding and project management experience within a consultancy environment.
- Line manage and mentor colleagues by supporting them in work project delivery roles.
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification in town planning (or equivalent).
- Member of the RTPI.
