Senior Systems Consultant (Intelligent Infrastructure)
Join us at WSP as a Senior Systems Consultant in our Intelligent Infrastructure – Systems capability, delivering high‑impact programmes for transport clients across the UK and overseas.
What You Will Do
- Lead the delivery of strategic advice, technical assurance, solution guidance, specifications, system design, architecture, and testing assurance throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Articulate the benefits of a systems engineering approach to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Apply thought leadership and build strong relationships with clients and suppliers, collaborating across disciplines and supply chains to address technical and operational challenges.
- Balance systematic processes with flexible systems thinking, adapting to project needs.
- Work independently in client‑facing environments, defining project requirements and employing a strong problem‑solving mindset to navigate ambiguity.
What We Will Be Looking For
- A degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Domain knowledge in a relevant industry – transportation, operational technology, business IT, software or engineering consultancy.
- Experience of applying systems assurance to sizeable projects and programmes, and experience in client‑facing roles.
- Proficiency against the INCOSE Systems Engineering Competency Framework.
- A passion for future technology.
